It’s safe to say you’ve probably never been to an event at Lola nightclub where Beyoncé dances at the end.
During the Wednesday night birthday party of former “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Todrick Hall, the pop megastar appeared before the crowd in a bubblegum skirt and a “baby face” ballgown, thanks to performance artist, “Renegade Girl” Bashaara Collins, who’s known for dressing in drag to hang out with Beyoncé. As Hall transitioned into Beyoncé, Collins held her dressed up.
Collins, who performed at the party, told the Washington Post that the queen is “a massive fan of Beyoncé’s.”
“The little thing that she did was really special,” Collins said. “It’s rare to be a part of something this beautiful, with something so special happening, and such a national icon.”
Collins said it was actually the first time Beyoncé has ever performed at an event in which she wasn’t just a celebrity guest.
“She was like, ‘I don’t ever do this stuff, like, I’m not a performer, I’m a performer,’” Collins told the Post. “I was like, ‘That’s what I do, honey. That’s what I’m going to show you when I go to this event with you and your girls.’”
Pop-culture fans are undoubtedly sharing images and videos of Hall’s birthday party on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, garnering thousands of likes from like-minded fans.
“Its like a christmas gift, really,” Hall told a reporter for the Washington Post on Wednesday night. “I felt like we were all ready for this moment. I knew I was ready for it.”
