Holiday decor can work just as well for your home as for your pets. Here are some good ideas to get you started.

So what’s the best Halloween outfit for your pets?

Danielle’s top ten list

– Prepare to laugh – Halloween is about chills, laughter and surprises. You don’t want your pet to be left out. Think Disney-esque costumes – porcelain dolls (minus the witch look). And if your pet is scaring easily…

– Watch scary movies – it gives your pet another part to play at Halloween, or use it as a treat. The best choices are animated films like “Bolt” or movies from the ’70s with ghosts like “Poltergeist.”

– Book a sitter – ask your veterinarian for the best or safest way to have your pet watch scary movies.

– Get plenty of treats – giving your pet some satchels of treats so they don’t feel any pressure to wait to eat treats throughout the night.

– Dress your pets – lay out plenty of jumpsuits and masks for them to wear.

– Buy your pets food – something to keep them from getting hungry and they’ll keep on watch throughout the night.

– Keep candles – a candle will increase the ambiance, and add a distinct flavor to the meal.
